CENTRAL MISSOURI MISSION CENTER
Upon the call of the First Presidency and the Council of Twelve, “Holden Stake” was organized July 15, 1916 with 6 branches. The stake territory included parts of 10 counties in Missouri and Kansas. Within a year, 5 new branches and 7 new missions had been established. By 1946, the stake headquarters had been moved to Warrensburg, and the name of the stake was changed to Central Missouri Stake. On January 1, 2004 the stake name was changed to Central Missouri Mission Center as we also welcomed four new congregations into our mission center family.
Central Missouri Mission Center currently includes 18 congregations of the Community of Christ. Parts of 13 counties in west central Missouri and 1 county in east central Kansas comprise the mission center. The Mission Center Headquarters is located in Warrensburg, Missouri.

COMMUNITY OF CHRIST
The Community of Christ is an international Christian church with 250,000 members found in more than 50 nations. Our World Headquarters, which includes a Temple dedicated to the pursuit of peace, is located in Independence, Missouri. The church was organized in 1830 in New York State.
